Does anyone still look at this site? Well, if you do, thank you. Here’s a video for ya. <3
“The infamous black. The darkness that makes you fret. The unseeing obscurity that makes you lament over your sadness. This monster lives around us every night. It’s evil lurks in every shadow and is stronger than you could ever imagine. Every night you must descend through the darkness. And without light, it can make you feel weak and ill. It will close in on you until there is no sanity left. Alone, it will make you feel cold and weak. If you are not careful, this monster will consume you and poison your mind. You must fight back! Use the light! It is your only weapon in the darkness, and if used correctly, will guide you through until the sun rises. But remain weary, for it will return again.”

A long time ago I went onto a website called YouTube. A place where you could create a channel and begin to upload your own content for other people to watch. About two years later I realized that people were actually getting paid to do said thing. I immediately felt as though this is what I wanted to do for my carrer. To be able to work from home, creating and uploading videos for other people to see. I could imagine myself doing all kinds of videos. From video games to video blogs, I wanted to do it all. The whole world was going to see my talent and recognize me as a talented video producer. To be able to do this as my job would be a dream.
However, dreams can change. Sometimes you think to yourself, “Is this really what I want to be doing for the rest of my life?”
The past year of my life has changed. I was uploading YouTube videos like school projects, gaming, and video blogs. I began doing a “Let’s Play” series over Fallout New Vegas and creating our popular “Xbox Live MisAdventures” series. Also around this time, Carson and I were uploading school projects like “My Online Life” and “Looping Around“. I felt extremely proud of myself for completing, what I think, have been some of my best videos ever. I felt as though I could continue making these videos for many more years to come.
Before I knew it, summer was upon me. Throughout the summer I did mostly video game stuff, as I wanted to simply take a break from all the school projects. I only knew I would have to work twice as hard NEXT school year, as I would be in the advanced video production class. I only did one single video blog which was the “Lake Palestine Vacation” video. Besides that, every other video I did was over video games. I started another Let’s Play over games like Portal 2, Half-Life 2, and Amnesia. But like every other Let’s Play that I have done, I never finished any of them. There are hundreds of YouTube commentators that do Let’s Play’s over hundreds of games. I looked at YouTube from this angle and thought this might be something that I would want to do. I quickly realized I did not enjoy playing games this way. I even made promises to myself saying that I was going to finish each game, but I still never did. It made gaming unenjoyable for me.
I pretty much gave up on doing video commentaries forever, after uploading the “No Gaming for the Next Week” video.
We were halfway into the last month of summer. Every year my dad, my brother, and me, all take a vacation before the summer comes to an end. This summer however, we drove to a place where we would have never even thought to drive to before. Florida. Along the way, I did more video blogging that whole week, than I had ever filmed video games throughout the whole summer. While most of the “Florida Vacation” video was the car ride, I still enjoyed filming my life again. Even if it only was a week.
Upon returning from Florida, I continued to do more gaming videos until school started again. In fact, most of the remaining days of summer consisted of me, sitting at my computer all day long, editing video after video. While it did feel good to finally upload a video after hours of editing, I quickly got to the point where I was just straight up sick of it. I then asked my self THAT question. “Is this really what I want to do for the rest of my life?”
People do not realize how much work goes into creating a video. It pretty much took me a whole month to finally figure out what I was doing. I was going through MANY problems with my videos such as audio, video, transitions, editing, exporting, re-formatting, compressing, etc. It took ages, yet somehow, I figured it out. And throughout all the annoying problems I had, for whatever reason, I didn’t give up. I wanted to figure it out. So…..maybe this IS something I want to be doing for the rest of my life? Because even after going through all that frustration, I continued to create videos. I just don’t know.
I continued to do more gaming video up until my junior year of High School started. I was now in the advanced production class which meant plenty of new videos coming. Videos like “17 Years in 5 Minutes” and “The Dark Descent” all turned out the way I liked them. From that point on I haven’t done any gaming videos aside from our MisAdventure episodes. Then something amazing happened.
Since November, I have changed. I used to be that shy kid sitting all by myself in the corner, never going outside of the house, and not talking to anybody or to afraid to even get close to someone else. What happened to me? I met some of the greatest friends I could have ever come to know. Before I knew it I started trying to hang out with these group of people almost every single day. We simply refer to ourselves as “The Group” and there are currently about 13 of us. Most parents look at a group of typical teenage friends and think “Oh no, here they come.” But really, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to be with. We all sort of quickly formed this bond, and I was hanging out nearly every weekend with these people. One day I finally decided to start filming everything we do, cause we always seem to do something crazy or funny, or create some sort of memory we wont ever forget.
Before all this, I was begging to feel lost with my videos. I felt like just giving up completely. It just didn’t feel fun anymore. I didn’t enjoy spending numerous hours filming, editing, exporting, and uploading only for a few people to actually see it. But after filming the Group for the first time, it all seemed to change. All it took was one video. I uploaded “Meet The Group” on January 2 and it somehow revived me. In my opinion, this was one of the best videos I had ever done. I felt compelled once again, to continue making and uploading videos onto YouTube.
Knowing the amount of friends I now had, and having such a huge fan base for the last video, I announced that we would be making a sequel to “Looping Around”, simply titled “Looping Around Again“. The good news is, it wouldn’t take a long time to film. The bad news? It was going to take days to edit. And I’m not talking about simply editing a few hours a day. I’m talking about literally spending days at a time editing this video. After over 100+ hours of sitting in front of a computer screen, it was finally finished.
I uploaded the final video and everyone seemed to like it even more than the first. This alone, made me feel accomplished. You see, even though I may not get even a hundred views per video, it has never really bothered me. That has always kept me going, the fact that even having 5 views on a video means nothing about the actual quality of the video. What matters to me, is the fact that I simply enjoy creating videos. I don’t know what it is, but there is just something about it that drives me. Maybe it’s being able to express myself, or being able to entertain people for a few minutes a day, or even simply seeing one single person smile while watching my video. I don’t care for subscribers, comments, likes, dislikes, or views. Those are simply just numbers. I make videos, because I love doing it. If you join YouTube simply for the fame, you probably wont last that long. Simple as that.
Ever since the Looping Around sequel was uploaded, I have pretty much continued to make videos about The Group. Sure there have been one or two school projects here and there, but at the moment, videos about real life seem to intrigue me the most. And as for the future? I honestly don’t know what will happen to this YouTube carrer of mine. Will I eventually get a partnership with a big enough fan base to support myself and turn into a carrer? Or will it all simply disappear? I don’t really know. I am not proud of myself for being lazy. Meaning, I don’t do as many videos as I used to anymore. I used to upload a huge variety of different things, from music videos, to video game reviews, to skits, to real life blogs. Nowadays, it’s not quite the same. My life has really changed. I’m trying to hold a balance between spending time with my friends, finishing all the video games I hardly have time for, editing MisAdventure episodes, and simply trying to sustain a schedule of video content on YouTube.
Sometimes in life, I lay in bed at the end of the day wondering what I will do with my life. They say to never give up on your dreams, but dreams can also change for anyone, at any time. For me, I will continue making videos. Who knows what they will be, but maybe someday I will find a type of video that I absolutely love doing. I guess I will just have to get back to work and see what happens.
Don’t worry about what happend yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. Just live your life today.
That’s why it’s called the present.

Modern Warfare 3: I have always loved the series for its great storyline and Michael Bay-esc set pieces. MW3 is no different. A great ending to a great trilogy. MW4 needs to be completely new though. New engine, storyline, etc. Co-op is also once again really fun and a great addition to the game. I really liked the Spec-Ops idea from MW2 and I’m really glad the developers decided not to throw it away. They have brought it back and even better than ever with the addition of “Survival” mode. Lots of fun to be had there. Lastly, the multiplayer. I honestly don’t have much to say about it. It’s Call of Duty. It’s multiplayer. You know what to expect. It’s good but can also be frustrating at times. Honestly, I’m starting to get tired of it.
Uncharted 3: I have only played a little bit of multiplayer and none of the co-op yet. The campaign however, I played straight through. And the reason I played it without stopping? Because I didn’t want to stop. The campaign is simply fantastic. It is just as good, if not better, than Uncharted 2. In fact, I would pay $60 alone JUST for the campaign. It’s that good. Most people I know don’t own a playstation 3, but if you do, this is a game that should NOT be missed. Naughty Dog has also completely overhauled the multiplayer and making it feel as though the are actually playing the single player campaign. Co-Op should be good to. Just when you think the developers couldn’t top themselves from the second game, they make the third one a fantastic outing to the franchise.
Skyrim: THIS GAME. THIS is the game of all games. Well….maybe I’m stretching that a bit. But still, I could easily spend over 100 hours playing this game. Personally, I tried so many times to play and enjoy the fourth game, but I could never really get into it. This game however, is a LOT better. I didn’t think I would even like this game at first. But after about the first hour or so, I realized that this game could potentially destroy my social life. The world is massive, infinite quests to do, dungeons to explore, and most importantly, Dragons to slay. I would highly recommend that everyone give this game a fair chance. There are a ton of ways to play the game, and no two people will play it the same way. Do yourself a favor, and play this game.
The Amnesia Script (Over 1400 words) (And my 100th post on this website!)
Posted: November 3, 2011 in Uncategorized(Music #1 and rain and thunder begin playing) (Camera fades into room 1 (pic 1) to show Daniel lying on the ground) (What, what is this place” - Daniel ramblings) He sits up and touches his forehead with two fingers to notice its bleeding. (Daniel gasps of him cringing) He slowly gets up, stumbling. He looks to his left to notice that his left arm is swollen and bleeding. (Daniel slow breath) He slowly gets back up and walks down to the end of the room, where a table with a candle is lit, a lantern is placed, and a note lay. Daniel picks up and reads the note in his head (note 1) Daniel puts the note back down on the table, looks to his right, and notices a door. He looks down once more to notice he is wearing his rosary, and lifts it up in his palm. He grasps it firmly. (“I have to get out of here” - Daniel ramblings) He looks back at the door and, approaching it slowly, begins to open the door as it creaks. (Door noises) (Music 2 plays) He “leans” as he looks left and right to see if the coast is clear. He begins to walk right and beings to open the next door (door noises) when suddenly, he breaks down. He stumbles back down to the ground as noises fill his head. (Image flash, whispers, ear ringing 1, ear ringing 2, dog squeal, baby cry, ambience guardian) (He stays with his hands and knees on the ground for bit as the sounds in his head die out, then slowly proceeds his way to get back up. He notices windows to his right and then to his left. He walks to the left set of windows and looks outside at the black darkness. (Sounds of rain and thunder) (“Its cold, it’s so cold” - Daniels ramblings) He looks back to his right and continues on. He approaches a 3 way hallway and proceeds to walk to the hallway with a lit staircase, and notices a dragon statue. (May change) He picks it up, pulls it closer to his face and examines it, when suddenly; he hears the scream of a girl. (Scared reaction from Daniel and gasp of breath) He pulls out his lit lantern (lantern noise) and proceeds into the darkness where he heard the scream. He drops the dragon and quickly turns on his lantern. He begins to walk down the hallway. (Slow breathing) He gets to a doorway and opens it slowly. (Door creak, “is anyone there” - Daniels ramblings) Another scream right after he says that. (Scream 6 and 10) He quickly turns around and continues down the hallway, breathing even faster. (Daniel fast breath) He notices a door on his left and begins to open it, but suddenly he slams the door shut because he hears the girl again. (Girl screams 1 and Daniel reaction, door opening and slamming) He shuts off his lantern. (“help her find a way” - Daniels ramblings, sanity 3) He begins to slowly open the door and pears left and right inside. For a moment, all is quiet. Suddenly Daniel is startled by the sound of a whale-like creature, and the girls screams one last time before the creature cuts her and breaks her bones. (Brute whimper, girls scream 6 and 10, grunt attacks, bones cracking) Daniel is so frightened by the sound and begins to run in fear. (Music #6, lantern noise,) Daniel runs back down the hallway and makes a right towards the staircase, stepping into the light. He stops for a moment to catch his breath. (Daniel fast breath, music #3, rain and thunder, “the darkness closing in” “something’s wrong oh so wrong” - Daniels ramblings) He regains his sanity and begins to make his way down the staircase. As he goes down he can hear a baby cry. (baby cry, ambiance, “getting closer somehow” - Daniels ramblings”) He finds a door only to see that it is locked. (Rain and thunder, ambiance, “the darkness closing in” - Daniels ramblings) Daniel pounds the door with both his hands and leans his head on it. (“This shouldn’t be” - Daniels ramblings, rain and thunder, ambiance) He turns around and begins to walk slowly down the other hallway. He pulls out his lantern again. (Lantern noise) And suddenly begins to hear footsteps above him. (Muffled steps) His head follows the footsteps as the sound travels right over him. (“Someone’s coming” - Daniels ramblings) Daniel puts away his lantern and remains completely frozen, all is silent. He slowly turns back around and begins to walk again, seeing a candle lit, and a door swings open as though it had been blown by the wind itself, thus blowing out the candle. (First door audio plus Daniel breath, slow breath, ambiance wind) Daniel quickly pulls out his lantern again and “leans” into the room. He sees nothing. He closes the door (door opening and slamming) and continues on. Daniel approaches a staircase and peers down into the darkness. (“the darkness closing in” - Daniels ramblings) He begins to make his way down the staircase. On the way down, he hears another sound. The sound of a squealing dog. (Dog squeal, ambiance) He makes his way down to the door and begins to open it. (Door noises) He walks into the cold darkness that filled the room. He made sure to shut the door behind him, quietly. (“the shadow its close now” - Daniels ramblings, sanity 5, footsteps) Upon entering the room, walking into the unknown, he begins to hear what sounds to be a man being tortured by a saw. At first, it is slow. But as Daniel trails further into the darkness, the sawing gets louder and faster. Daniel is nearly to the back of the room, the sound of the man choking over his own blood and the sound of the saw couldn’t be any louder. Daniel’s heart and breath racing, he stumbles onto the ground again. He finds the strength to pull himself up to the table and grabs the key. The moment he grabs the key, the sound finally goes away. Daniel breathes at a slower pace, his heart rate returns to normal, and he regains his sanity. He could feel the power of the key, and it felt like a way out. He puts it in his pocket and makes his way back to the door. As he is just a few feet from the door, a horrible noise begins to shake the entire building, as though something had just been awoken. (Guardian activated) He freezes for a moment, standing there with the lantern in his hand. Thinking nothing of it, Daniel walks even slower towards the door. He almost touches the handle, until he then hears the sound of another monster, only not as deep of a sound. (Grunt spawn) He breathes slowly and has no choice but to open the door. SLAM! (Monster surprise, event coming, music 4) The shadow was there. That thing was on the other side of the door and it was begging to break in. Daniel was trapped. He had no weapons, or any way to get around the monster. He could only hide in the darkness, hoping the monster could not smell fear. Daniel quickly blends in with the darkness. The monster broke the door down, and began to search for him. Daniel remained as still and as quiet as possible. The monster had walked past Daniel. This was his chance. He had to quietly get back to the door. Daniel began to creep closer and closer, not even looking back at the monster. He quietly opened, went through, and closed the door. Looking at door, he slowly back away until he was about 3 feet from the door. Then suddenly, (RAWR, music 7) Daniel turns around and can do nothing but run. He runs back to the front door and struggles to unlock the door with the key. He just barely unlocks it in time. Daniel runs outside into more darkness, away from the monster hoping it did not follow him outside. He quickly stops to catch his breath, and turns around to look back at the church. All is quiet and at peace. At last. He turns back around, and the monster lets out a scream, and then kills Daniel where he stands. (Cuts to black before he is struck)
It has been many many months since I have last posted on this blog. If you know us, you have been watching our YouTube channels ever since, so you know what’s up. If you HAVEN’T been watching our YouTube videos, shame on you. *wags finger* ALSO I would like to point out that all 5 parts of the 2011 Florida Summer Vacation can be watched here!
Well it’s a brand new school year and that means a brand new year of videos for school. Which also means I will be as equally busy. Below, you will find just some of the many videos we uploaded since the “My Online Life” video. The first of which is our first school assignment. Hope you all like it! Please subscribe.
At long last the documentary is finally complete. And although I did have some clips missing, I am very excited to finally get this video out there. This documentary is some of my best work and I really hope you all like it. Once again, big thanks to Carson for helping out with this and being apart of my videos for the past 4 years. Be sure to watch to the very end of the video! This is also a school project that was assigned back in March. I did complete on time but I didn’t like it. So I scrapped that version and re-did the whole thing. During this process of remaking the documentary I realized that I would not be able to complete it in school (which at the time was the only place I could work on it, during school hours only) and because of 2 other projects that were shortly assigned to us afterwards. By the time those 2 projects were finished there was only a few days of school left. I spent each of those days moving as many files, video, and music as I possibly could before school officially ended. At last, after many months of waiting, the video is finally the way I like it. I hope you all enjoy. Watch this video in all of it 1080p full screen glory! If your computer can handle the amount of awesomeness that is. Maybe with headphones too? If you are unsure, do it anyway. You may want to pause the video and run away from your computer and hide in a small corner as your computer attempts to load the video. Check out the links below please!
